you probably going huh ? finally ! i know its been a long time coming ... funny thing is right at the beginning of the Party People Pro was there... myself Bradley ( DJ Bionic ) and Op! we did this 5 day run event called Party Bonanza and Pro performed at the main show which was the last show ... killed it! this is after at-least 5 month into Party People after its inception.  

otherwise youd catch Pro just in the audience, meaning he has been following the brand  but most importantly ulike other cats hed never be on some put me on asif he knew naturaly the time will come ... and it had

This was the first official THINK FUNK in JHB- It was at the Colorbar which became Roka ...

it was such a joy to play there. The venue always had a good ready crowd to play for, i especially like the demographics of the audience ... i remember breaking the Marvin Gaye "i want you" track there ...oh and Bob once killed me with some rock steady set Dawn Penn's "NONONO" and Elthea and Donna's "Uptown Top Ranking" Sampled by Sean Paul"s "i am still in love" track ... ahhh sweet memorie

Tired of starting my note with ' been a while ' and yes i know it has been  ... yes its also been a year of growth for Party People we did P.E for the first time ... and now DBN ... and trust me we are expanding next year ... also saw the Raff mix of the DVD it inspired me ... who can forget the last PP @ Roka, lights out ... Cap Town has been good to me, but i really miss JHB ... the Exhibition was the best night of Party People in that breath!

the above band has been on the pipeline for a while. If you know a group called School of Thought from CT or Superdan you know who these cats are. thought its also nice for visitors from else where to witness PP in CT with an organic Cape Town band just to see what CT can offer!

This is not the return we have been there we never left ... also as you know Proverb never had his taste of Party People JHB and judging by the Cape Town and P.E  eeeish! this brother knows how to rock a crowd

so naw you know!DBN been calling for a while naw. Saw the venue last week and judging by the set up, it may be the sexiest Party People ever also cant wait to see DBN's Moonchild perform and you know DJ2DeXha! that guy is crazy ... Proverb is ready so!

SO its been a while since i wrote in for yall ... as you can see its not easy for me to be on the net all the time bombarding you with stuff ... but you know, i gotta get on it ... it has a name nowadays ...

its called Internet Presence ... been approached by a couple guys trying to make sure i got internet presents ... i trully wana come out when i got something to say like now ... been on this for a while ... finaly we see Party People coming to P.E ... WITH Pro- Verb himself ... i am looking forward to this ...

i gotta tell you something ... this is the third time i am directly working on a show with Pro and the last two times there's always flight problems ... either the flight info we always get  like last Party People in Cape Town Pro was at the airport at 7p, to catch his 8pm flight and they told him he missed his flight , told him it left at 8am hmm Pro being a professional he didn't fuss and we worked the situation ... the second time we were spose to fly out to Kimberly to do a show he invited me to help him with ... and was told on the day that i missed my flight ... i wasn't aware and i was on my way to Pretoria to play this corporate show so we were forced to drive to Kimberly straight after i played "12 am" to make it in Kimberly for our 9am call time ... 

this time will make sure none of that happen ... so see u @ Godwana Cafe... 0n the 24 Oct ...

Redbull SoundClash - Tumi and the Volume VS The Dirty Skirts

Last year Party People at Oppikoppi was crazy nice and resulted in Imago Entertainment and Oppikoppi’s decision to go back

to the bush in Northam and pull off yet another amazing Party People this year. With August being woman’s month, Dj Kenzhero feels it necessary to celebrate the strong gracious women within our music industry. With each feature bringing forth their own style and genre to the Sipho Gumede platform, this one is a star-studded, jam-packed line-up. Features by the likes of show stopper :
- Thandiswa Mazwai, 
- The jazzy sounds of Khethi, 
- Nthabi performing some of her new music, 
- Ipi Fuze feat Siya Makuzeni on vocals and trombone,
- Ej Von Lyrik of Godessa with her Funk band all the way from Cape Town, 
- Dj Hanna, 
- Dj Goldigger and many more. 

The Sipho Gumede stage will be the longest running stage within the festival, starting from 9:00am and ending at an ungodly 4:00am every day on Friday 7th, Sat 8th and Sunday 9th August. 

Party People will be taking place on the 9th of August 2009 so do come and join us.
